Half-Life: Uplink

Half-Life: Uplink is a demo of the original Half-Life, featuring a new story and about 30 Minutes - 1 Hour of gameplay, not featured in the original.

Half-Life

Named Game of the Year by over 50 publications, Valve's debut title blends action and adventure with award-winning technology to create a frighteningly realistic world where players must think to survive. Also includes an exciting multiplayer mode that allows you to play against friends and enemies around the world.

Story:

Theoretical physicist Gordon Freeman must fight his way through, and hopefully out of, the Black Mesa Research Facility, New Mexico, after an experiment intended to research improved teleportation technology goes horribly wrong, and tears open a rift in the space/time continuum between our world and an alien borderworld containing forces far beyond the understanding of any human mind.

Half-Life: Decay

Half-Life: Decay is a co-op campaign made by Gearbox for the Half-Life release on PS2. It was never released on Steam and the PS2 release was the only way to play it, until around 2008, when it was released as a mod for Half-Life.

Story:

Like Gearbox's other expansion packs Opposing Force and Blue Shift, Decay returns to the setting and timeline of the original story, but with different player characters: two female colleagues of Gordon Freeman, Dr. Gina Cross and Dr. Colette Green, who both take part in the Anomalous Materials laboratory experiment.

They make preparations for the experiment under the Test Chamber such as monitoring Anti-Mass spectrometer and delivering anomalous materials to Dr. Freeman. When disaster happens both women together with their collegues Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Keller try to save personell of the facility and reverse the resonance cascade to seal the dimensional rift.
